L’Economist Club Luxembourg, a window on the economy L’Economist Club Luxembourg is both young – it was founded on June 16, 1998, but it also carries the prestigious heritage of its predecessor, ADUSEC (Association des Universitaires en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales). The ECL succeeded ADUSEC, an organization founded in 1963, at a time when new graduates in economic and commercial sciences began to appear in the Grand Duchy. The Economist Club aims to be a forum for dialogue between the professions of economist, consultant, auditor, fund manager, sales professional, teachers, and even researchers. The ECL wants to create a space for debate, a forum for exchange. In its debates, the ECL refers, as far as possible, to the conceptual frameworks offered by economic and management sciences. These are very dynamic and extraordinarily fruitful sciences, allowing for a more rigorous, better-informed, and argued perspective on many economic and social phenomena.
